The RTN003/4 is a two card set which permits blocked data supplied on a NASCOM line to be deblocked and moved across the VME bus to system memory for subsequent display, storage or further routing. The board accepts 4800 bit NASCOM blocks, provides block fiftering and routes the blocks to its input buffers and simultaneously to its embedded full function frame synchronizer. |

Status counters provide an indication of blocks received, blocks sent, block sequence errors, bit contiguous with CRC errors, and partial blocks. The extracted telemetry data is placed in separate memory buffers in the host. Data quality monitoring is supported by statistic counters and by adding three status words to each TM frame. The status counters provide the user with an indication of the number of sync patterns, frames selected, frames with CRC errors, search to check transitions, sync patterns in check, sync patterns in lock, frames with bit slip, and frames with pattern errors. In addition to deblocking, frame syncronization and data quality monitoring, the RTNO03/4 card set also provides the ability to automatically reverse frames of data within the host memory. Interrupts are provided at the end of each block transfer to synchronize the host CPU to the incoming data. |
