The PSK008 UQPSK Modulator accepts two signals ( typically binary command data with clock and a PRN ranging signal) for UQPSK I and Q channel modulation. The bit rate of each data stream may be from DC to 5 Mbps. The modulator generates a subcarrier at a frequency up to 10 MHz. The I/Q channel unbalance is programmable to ±30 dB.

The UQPSK modulator generates the subcarrier coherent with an external frequency reference. Modulation can be turned off to provide a continuous wave (CW) subcarrier output. The modulator output level is adjustable from 30 dBm to +10 dBm. Three buffered outputs are provided.

The PSK008 UQPSK Modulator is a single width VME compatible plug-in module, 6U x 160 mm, with a front panel and ejector handles.
