| The NBD001 NASCOM Blocker/Deblocker module provides the ability to
source or accept data in the 4800 bit blocked data format (BDF).
As a deblocker, the NBD001 accepts 4800 bit blocks in a variety of formats, selectively filters the blocks and extracts the active, embedded data. The data is then output to a tape recorder, conventional TM frame synchronizer, decommutator, or CCSDS transfer frame ingest system. In the blocker mode, the module accepts telemetry data for blocking into 4800 bit blocks that include time and user defined header field information. The NBD001 module is fully VME compatible, and is controlled bv A32:D16 slave transfers from the host CPU. The base address of the NSD001 module is dip switch selectable for maximum flexibilty. All control, status and data communication is provided via dual ported memory, accessible over the VME bus. The NBD001 also provides accumulated counts of blocks received, the number of blocks out of sequence, the number of blocks sent, and the number of blocks with CRC errors. |
