[ Synchronizers / Decommutators ]
|
The GDP Space Systems model FSM501 is an IRIG-106 PCM Telemetry frame synchronizer in a Type II PCMCIA container. Use a lap-top computer as a telemetry quick-look data acquisition device. The FSM501 accepts serial data and clock from a pcm bit synchronizer at bit rates up to 20 Mbps. Once the synchronization criteria is programmed into the device, the desired information is extracted from the decommutated data stream and presented to the user. |

The FSM501 is fully programmable. A full synchronization strategy is incorporated with a 32 bit fully masked synchronization pattern detector. The FSM501 accommodates telemetry formats which contain asynchronously inserted data streams. Extract the data associated with a Video source or from a secondary telemeter. To extract an imbedded data stream for application to another device, the user simply identifies the word locations that contain the data of interest. The extracted data is presented by way of a serial data path with a coherent clock. |
