The FSD001 module is a high performance Format Synchronization and Decommutation module. This single slot VME Bus module operates up to 16 Mbps and includes adaptive frame synchronization and data decommutation with word size, orientation, and editing specified on a word-by-word basis. The FSD001 module accepts serial data with clock and provides reconstructed data samples in the on-board dual port memory and simultaneously in parallel on the J2 connector. Optionally, the user may program the FSD001 module to place up to 128 complete buffers of data in memory before interrupting the host CPU. Whether the application is a simple implementation of a quick look system, or a complex multiple stream front end processor, the FSD001 is a cost-effective solution to mission requirements.
