The DIG004, Ranging Tone Generator card produces a digital baseband signal output selectable from one of the following: an internal PRN ranging signal (1 Mbps PRN, modulo-2 summed with a 500 KHz square wave); a 500 KHz square wave or an external data input. The digital baseband channel contains a low-pass filter which can be selectively enabled or disabled prior to the output. Two buffered outputs are provided for distribution of the digital baseband output to multiple Summers. Each output can be turned on and off separately. The card also includes provisions for multiple analog inputs with each connected to two selectable output buffers. Signal source and low-pass filter selection for the digital baseband outputs, and On-Off selection for both digital and analog channels are all software controlled via the VME bus interface. The card is a double slot (6U x 160 mm) VME compatible module.
