Modular Subcarrier Systems (MSS) provide high performance, multi-channel PSK, FSK, and SGLS Signal Generation in a single rack-mountable chassis. Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) techniques are used to produce multiple PSK, FSK/AM, and FSK/PM subcarriers at frequencies up to 10 MHz. Up to four subcarriers can be summed producing a composite output. All functions within the MSS are controllable through either the local front panel menuing system, or an IEEE-488 remote port. GDP also provides virtual instrument software to allow the user to control the MSS in a Windows, point & click environment. A family of VME-based digital modulators allows rapid configuration of a new MSS at a fraction of the cost of new product development.
