The Model 615 Digital Data Test Set fills the need for high performance link and data comm system test at an affordable price. The Model 615 tester was designed primarily to facilitate rapid fault isolation and link characterization.

The 615 offers these measurements: accumulated bit errors, measured bit error rate, accumulated block errors, accumulated error-free seconds, accumulated error-seconds, measured error symmetry, accumulated bit count integrity loss (slip), and measured receive and transmit frequency. Operating ease and test flexibility are the result of microprocessor control. A high contrast vacuum fluorescent display provides two lines of 40 character setup and test result information. Control and setup data entry is by a 20 position keypad. Test results are formatted by the processor which provides automatic fixed to floating point display conversion when numbers exceed the field width. Printer output includes all test measurements, time of day, and a user programmable 32 character header to facilitate test logging.
