The SUM002 Summer accepts up to seven input signals and provides a composite output comprised of the summation of any four selected inputs. The signal level at the composite output for each of the selected inputs can be adjusted from 1.1 Vp-p to 0 Vp-p. The four selected signals are combined to produce a composite output signal. The composite signal can be attenuated from 0 to 7.5 dB. The maximum composite output level is +12 dBm.
Two Test Point output signals are provided. Signal selection, component signal level adjust, and attenuation of the composite output are all software selectable via the control bus interface. A spare buffer amplifier stage is also provided. A block diagram of the standard SUM002 card is shown below.
The card is a full size single slot module, with an included front panel for SSMB interface connectors (J2-J12). All interfaces are 75 Ohms. The card requires +5 Vdc, +12 Vdc and -12 Vdc power for operation. Different gain selection ranges, selectable attenuations, and interface impedances can be provided.
