The PSK003, BPSK Subcarrier Generator card provides high performance, digital PSK modulation at subcarrier frequencies tunable to 10 MHz. It accepts data in NRZ (L/M/S) or BIO(L/M/S) formats at rates up to 2 Mbps.

The input data can optionally be encoded to NRZ (L/M/S), BIO(L/M/S) or DM(M/S) prior to subcarrier modulation. A selectable tap PRN generator is provided to produce PRN modulated subcarriers for ranging or BER testing.

All user options are software controllable over the VME Bus. The PSK Generator can be a frequency synthesizer, PRN generator, or data encoder/decoder when not being used as a PSK modulator. The card is single slot (6U x 160mm) VME compatible module.
